Badeni has that gatekeeper mentality lmao

It's hard to pick specific favorite episodes, but I'd say 3,6,8 and 9.
Episode 3 for obvious reasons, Rafal going out like that was heartbreaking.
Episode 6 was absolute cinema with Badeni uncovering the secrets of the hidden chest and figuring out why Mars showed retrograde movement.
Episode 8 had some great arguments for the need of 'audacity' in researchers, drawing parallels with Icarus.
Episode 9 again, for obvious reasons. The old man's story was pretty tragic, but a life spent in the pursuit of truth is never a life wasted.

Episodes 4 and 5 also featured this theme of church believers dying with grotesque faces as if they had seen hell, while the so-called heretics died peacefully as if they had reached the gates of heaven.

More like he’s a pragmatist and believes that knowledge should be limited to those who are capable enough to utilise it nothing wrong with that whatsoever in fact that’s what I absolutely love about his character very different than the kind of mc that we’re used to getting nowadays

Honestly, when Badeni said he's gatekeeping literacy, I couldn't help but agree with him in some way.

Knowing how some people write nonsense just for sake of it, I thought to myself, if such people didn't know how to write, I wouldn't lose braincells while reading this.

But anyway, my favorite episode was when they found the chest on the hill and when they met Jolenta and how they planned to throw her under a bus if they got caught

Well, the third one...
I don't think I should give a reason or explain anything,
Episodes three wasn't just an episode that left us with our mouths wide open.. But also had the audacity and ;well Bravery to break the laws of The art of "anime" and I believe it was the the straw that led a lot of us to actually Decide "Yep I'm watching this anime..."
